The deal
These terms are an agreement between you and Gladys Labs, Inc. ("Gladys," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you accept them. New accounts get a 7-day trial with the full product included. After the trial, your friends, memories, and chats are preserved, and continuing with voice and the full experience requires a subscription; credits cover things like generating images and building apps. We keep the service running and improving. Either of us can end the relationship anytime — you by deleting your account, us by closing accounts that break these terms.
Who can use Gladys
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Gladys. Gladys is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18.
What you can do
Use Gladys for personal or commercial work. Customize apps, create images, videos, text, voice. Share what you make. The content you create is yours — we don't claim rights to it. You give us only the limited license we need to store, process, and display your content back to you — that's what running the service means.
What you can't do
Don't use Gladys to harm other people — no harassment content, no deepfakes of real people without their consent, no CSAM or other illegal content, no malware, no attempts to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service or extract proprietary parts of it. Don't resell access or misrepresent AI-generated content as human-made where that matters legally. We'll close accounts that cross these lines.
The characters are fiction
Gladys, Vinnie, Jimmy — and every friend you make — are characters, not licensed therapists, doctors, lawyers, or financial advisors. They're warm and knowledgeable, but AI makes mistakes: responses can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and nothing in the app is professional advice. Don't rely on Gladys as your only source for decisions about health, money, or law. If you're in crisis, please call or text 988 (US) or your local emergency line.
Plans & pricing
How using Gladys works:
- Trial — 7 days, full product, no card required. Extendable by sharing a character with a friend. After it ends, your data is preserved and limited free messaging remains.
- Plans — Base $19.99/month, Plus $39.99/month, Unlimited $109.99/month. Each includes monthly voice minutes and credits as described on the pricing page. Premium voice unlocks are one-time purchases; minute and credit top-up packs are available anytime. Cancel anytime.
Standard-voice conversation uses your plan's monthly voice minutes; premium-voice conversation uses your premium minutes. Credits pay for images, video, app-building, and the deeper AI work — never ordinary chatting. Top-up packs are one-time purchases, stack on your balance, and never expire. Your friends and their memories are preserved regardless of subscription status. Prices may differ slightly between the App Store and web checkout, and may change — we'll always show you the price before you pay.
Subscription terms
All plans are monthly auto-renewing subscriptions. Each subscription period is one month. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase (App Store) or to your card (web checkout via Stripe). Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (iOS) or from your account page (web).
Refunds
For App Store purchases, Apple handles refunds under their policy. For web purchases, we'll refund a subscription within 14 days of purchase if you haven't used its monthly credits, and we'll make one-time pack issues right case by case. If something went wrong on our end, reach out at hello@heygladys.com — we'll make it right.
The service is provided "as is"
We're a small team shipping fast, and we can't promise Gladys will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any output will be accurate or fit for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, Gladys is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim — and we're never liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
Disagreements
If something's wrong, email us first — most problems get fixed faster over email than anywhere else. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes that can't be resolved informally belong in the state or federal courts located in Delaware (or your local small-claims court, if it qualifies). If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. These terms plus the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us.
Changes
If we materially change these terms, we'll tell you in the app and by email before the change takes effect. If you don't like the new ones, you can cancel and stop using the service.
Privacy & data
See our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect and how it's used. Short version: we don't sell your data, we don't train models on your conversations, your memory store lives on your device, and you can delete your account at any time from Settings.
